Description
English: A proclamation of the Siamese government in the reign of King Rama III, banning the smoking of opium, dated Thursday, the 5th day of the waxing moon of the 6th month, 1201 Lesser Era (corresponding to 18 May 2382 Buddhist Era or 1839 Common Era, according to the header of the document itself), being the first official document ever printed in Siam (present-day Thailand).
