English: The present book consists of Khamhaikan Chao Angwa ("Reply of an Angwa Person"), being a record of a reply given by Po Ma Yu Nguan (Burmese: ဗိုလ်မြို့ဝန်), Burmese governor-general of Chiang Mai, who was arrested and taken to Bangkok in the Year of the Monkey, 2331 BE (1788/79 CE), and was interrogated about the Konbaung dynasty. The author(s) of this record and the date of recording are not known. The work was first printed here.
