English: The spider web has been accepted by the Lord as the greatest Shiva service and gave a great birth to a son born to the king of Cholakulam.The Chola king Subadevar - the king of Kamalavathi, who later built 74 elephant puga temples, was built by Sivanesha Selvan. The child was born a day later; But the mother died. The baby was born with big red, small red eyes and blood red eyes as the two men turned upside down. So they named the child Chengatshozan.
தமிழ்: சிலந்தி பின்னிய வலை மிகப் பெரிய சிவ சேவையாக இறைவனால் ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளப்பட்டு சோழகுலம் செழிக்க அரசனுக்கு மகனாகப் பிறக்கும் பெரும் பேற்றினை வழங்கினார், ஈசன். சோழ மன்னன் சுபதேவர்- அரசி கமலவதி மணிவயிற்றில் பிற்காலத்தில் 74 யானைப் புகா மாடக் கோயில்களைக் கட்டிய சிவநேசச் செல்வன் உதித்தான். பிள்ளைப் பேறு நடக்கவிருந்த சமயத்தில் ஜோதிட வல்லுநர் ஒருவர், ‘‘இன்னும் ஒரு மணி நேரம் கழித்து குழந்தை பிறந்தால் மூன்று உலகங்களையும் கட்டியாளப் போகும் சோழகுல விளக்காகத் திகழ்வான்’’ என்று கூறியதைக் கேட்ட கமலவதி தேவியார், ‘‘அப்படியானால் என் கால்களை மேலே தூக்கி, என்னைத் தலைகீழாகக் கட்டிப் போடுங்கள்’’ என்று வேண்டிக் கொண்டாள். ஒரு நாழிகை கழித்து பிள்ளை பிறந்தது; ஆனால் தாய் இறந்தாள். இருவர் நிலையும் தலைகீழாக மாறியதால் பெரிய உயிர் பிரிய, சிறிய உயிரின் கண்களுக்கு ரத்தம் அதிகமாகப் பாய, செக்கச் சிவந்த கண்களுடன் பிறந்தது குழந்தை. அதனால் செங்கட்சோழன் என்று அந்த குழந்தைக்கு பெயரிட்டனர்.
