English: Botanical name - Aeschynomene indica 
 Common names -    Indian joint vetch ; Budda pea

Tamil names – Chatai , Kitai , kitaichchi , Netti . 

Considered as weed ;Grows in disturbed habitat; Nodes are full of , nitrogen-fixing bacteria ; Green manure;  Not recommended  to animals ;  Pithy stems are used as  floats for fishing nets;Charcoal is made into gunpowder.
