The longest pigeon bridge on the Barisal-Patuakhali highway will be opened this year. The bridge has been built keeping in view the Kuakata beach, one of the tourist centers of the country.

Description
বাংলা: চলতি বছরই খুলে দেওয়া হবে বরিশাল-পটুয়াখালী মহাসড়কের দীর্ঘতম পায়রা সেতু। দেশের অন্যতম পর্যটন কেন্দ্র কুয়াকাটা সমুদ্রসৈকতের কথা বিবেচনায় রেখে সেতুটি দৃষ্টিনন্দন করে গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে। সেতুটি চালু হলে সমুদ্র বন্দর পায়রা ও কুয়াকাটার সঙ্গে রাজধানীর যোগাযোগ ফেরিমুক্ত হবে।
