فارسی: تعزیه به معنای متعارف، نمایشی است که در آن واقعهٔ کربلا به دست افرادی که هر یک نقشی از شخصیتهای اصلی را بر دوش دارند، نشان داده میشود. (عکس:: تعزیه خوانی در یک سالن سرپوشیده در شهر قم در ایام ماه محرم)
English: Ta'zieh or Ta'zïye or Ta'zīya or Tazīa or Ta'ziyeh, means comfort, condolence or expression of grief. It comes from roots aza which means mourning.
Deutsch: Taʿziye ist ein religiöses Drama mit Musikdarbietungen, in dem das Martyrium des von den Schiiten verehrten Imam Husain ibn Ali (Hossein), des Enkels des Propheten Mohammed inszeniert wird.
Español: El ta'zieh, tazié o ta'zīye, designa un género de teatro religioso tradicional iraní que conmemora el martirio del imán Husayn a manos de las tropas del califa omeya Yazid I y se representa únicamente durante el mes de muharram, especialmente en su décimo día (ashura).
Français : Le Ta'zieh désigne en Iran un genre théâtral particulier, commémorant le martyre de l'imam Husayn, qui est joué uniquement pendant le mois de mouharram et lors de l'Achoura.
Italiano: Ta'zieh, o Taziyeh, in persiano: تعزیه, designa in Iran un particolare genere teatrale religioso, in cui predominano musica e canto, con il quale si commemora il martirio dell'imam al-Husayn ibn Ali.
עברית: התעזיה הינו מנהג אבלות תאטרלי אסלמי שיעי שמטרתו לתאר את הסבל שחווה חוסיין, נכדו של הנביא מוחמד ובנו של עלי, בימיו האחרונים, ולהתאבל עליו.
