Description
עברית: הר הנגב הוא אזור הררי בנגב, שיא גובהו 1,037 מטר בהר רמון, הפסגה הגבוהה ביותר בדרום מדינת ישראל. באזור נמצאת העיירה מצפה רמון, בגובה 850 מ' מעל פני הים. האקלים ששורר שם הוא חם ביום וקר מאוד בלילה (הטמפרטורות יורדות בו בחורף לעתים קרובות אל מתחת ל-0) ויבש (ממוצע המשקעים הוא 86 מילימטרים לשנה). שלג יורד בו כפעם בשנה ולעתים אף יותר. באזור אין נחלי איתן; נחלי האכזב הבולטים שם הם נחל צין (השני בגודלו בנחלי האכזב בארץ, שנשפך אל ים המלח), נחל רמון (המנקז את מכתש רמון ונשפך לנחל נקרות), ונחל נקרות (שנשפך לנחל הערבה).
