Подстанция 500 кВ «Дальневосточная» введена в эксплуатацию в 1983 году. Ее трансформаторная мощность составляет 501х2=1002 МВА. Она обеспечивает передачу электроэнергии, вырабатываемую Приморской ГРЭС, а также Зейской и Бурейской ГЭС, потребителям Уссурийска, Спасска, Арсеньева и других населенных пунктов юга Приморья.
