Русский: Исследователям важно знать действие конкретного вещества на культуру сердечной ткани. Для этого они окрашивают клетки кальциевым красителем и через флюоресцентный микроскоп следят за волнами возбуждения — сигналами, которые появляются в клетке под действием тока вследствие выброса кальция. Скорость передачи сигнала и последующие эксперименты с изменением условий позволяют делать выводы о влиянии конкретного вещества на культуру сердечной ткани. На фото учёный МФТИ пускает волну возбуждения между электродами. English: It is important for researchers to know the effect of a particular substance on the culture of the heart tissue. To do this, they stain the cells with a calcium dye and, through a fluorescent microscope, follow the excitation waves-signals that appear in the cell under the action of current due to the release of calcium.
