Русский: Ледяной туман, или морозный туман — туман, состоящий из кристалликов льда и наблюдаемый при температуре воздуха ниже -10...-15°С и высокой влажности. Представляет собой помутнение воздуха, при котором горизонтальная видимость падает до одного и меньше километров. Ледяной туман вызван наличием в воздухе большого количества ледяных игл, мельчайших (диаметром 10—20 мкм) капелек, а также ледяных кристаллов (диаметром от 10 до 100 мкм), иногда смешанных с переохлаждёнными капельками. Наибольшей интенсивности ледяной туман достигает при температуре воздуха ниже -30°С.
English: Ice fog, or freezing fog — fog composed of ice crystals and observed at air temperatures below -10 to -15°C and high humidity. Is a clouding of the air, where horizontal visibility falls to one and less miles. Ice fog caused by the presence in the air a large number of ice needles, the smallest (diameter 10-20 µm) droplets and ice crystals (with diameters from 10 to 100 µm), sometimes mixed with supercooled droplets. The highest intensity of ice fog up when the air temperature is below -30°C. |
