Українська: Русселія хвощеподібна (Russelia equisetiformis Schltdl. & Cham.) з роду Русселія (Russelia Jacq.) родини Подорожникові (Plantaginaceae Juss.).
Русселія хвощеподібна, відома також як фонтанний кущ, петарда, корал, кораловий фонтан або фонтанна рослина. Батьківщиною цього плакучого напівчагарнику є Мексика та Гватемала. Латинський видовий епітет означає «як хвощ» (кінський хвіст). Русселія хвощеподібна — багатогілляста рослина з дугоподібними гілками довжиною1,2–1,5 м. Загальна витончена форма напівчагарнику являє собою горбик у вигляді фонтану. Стебла і крихітні овальні листочки яскраво-зелені. Цвіте рясно дрібними лежачими квітками. Може цвісти цілий рік у тропічному та субтропічному кліматі. Це чудове доповнення до вашого саду, оскільки його люблять птахи та комахи, що харчуються нектаром. Русселія хвощеподібна культивується як декоративна рослина для садів у субтропіках і помірному кліматі. У тропіках її рекомендують висаджувати у горщиках або підвісні кашпо, оскільки в саду вона може розростись. Існують різні кольори: від білого, жовтого, блідо-оранжевого до відтінків червоного. Оптимальними умовами для цвітіння є мінімум 4 години сонячного світла на день. Цей вид найкраще вирощувати як розлогий межовий або каскадний покрив, де він підкреслює свою природну форму, схожу на пучки. Так само підходить контейнер (горщик). Після вкорінення Русселія хвощеподібна помірно стійка до посухи. У помірному кліматі цей вид рослини, як відомо, є листопадним. Стверджується, що вона витримує температури до -6 °C. Russelia equisetiformis, also known as the fountainbush, firecracker plant, coral plant, coral fountain, or fountain plant, is a species of flowering plant in the family Plantaginaceae. This weeping subshrub is native to Mexico and Guatemala. The Latin specific epithet means "like Equisetum" (the horse tail rush). Russelia equisetiformis is a multi-branching plant with 4–5 feet long arching branches. The overall graceful form of the subshrub is a fountain-esque mound. The stems and tiny oval leaves are bright green. It flowers profusely with small decumbent flowers. It can bloom year-round in tropical and subtropical climates. It's a great addition to your garden as it's loved by nectar-feeding birds & insects. Russelia equisetiformis is cultivated as an ornamental plant, for subtropical & temperate gardens. In tropical locations, it is recommended to be used as feature pots or hanging planters as it can become unruly in garden settings. Various colors exist ranging from white, yellow, pale orange & shades of red. Optimal conditions for flowering is a minimum of 4 hours of sunlight. This species is best grown as a sprawling bordering or cascading groundcover where it accentuates its natural tufting rush-like habit. Equally suitable in a container (pot) as a feature. Once established, R. equisetiformis are moderately drought tolerant. In Temperate climates, the plant species is known to be semi-deciduous. The genus is stated to withstand temperatures down to 21 °F.
