Піттоспорум Тобіра, також відомий як японський сирник, є видом квіткових рослин родини Піттоспораче. Вперше опубліковано в Hortus Kew. 2: 27 у 1811 р. Рідним ареалом цього виду є Південна Корея, Південна Центральна та Південна Японія до Нансей-шото. Це чагарник і росте переважно в субтропічному біомі. Pittosporum tobira (Thunb.) W.T.Aiton, also known as the Japanese cheesewood, is a species of flowering plant in the Pittosporaceae family. It was first published in Hortus Kew. 2: 27 in 1811. The native range of this species is South Korea, South Central & South Japan to Nansei-shoto. It is a shrub and grows primarily in the subtropical biome. It is used as a medicine and has environmental uses. This plant is a popular choice for gardens and landscaping projects due to its attractive glossy green foliage and fragrant flowers. It is also known for its resilience and ability to thrive in a variety of soil conditions. The plant's compact size and relatively slow growth rate make it an excellent choice for container gardening.
