Русский: Это не растение-хищник, это фаукария тигрина (Faucaria tigrina) из семейства аизооновых (Aizoaceae). Название рода происходит от латинского “faux” – пасть, что не удивительно, если взглянуть на два сросшихся листа с зубчиками. На самом деле эти зубчики мягкие.
Многие любители суккулентов предпочитают так называемые «зубастые» фаукарии: Faucaria felina («кошачья пасть»), F. lupina («волчья пасть»), F. tigrina («пасть тигра»). Наиболее известна F. tigrina, культивируемая в Европе более 300 лет. Однако, F. tigrina с популяции близ местечка Grahamstown (на фото), до сих пор редки в коллекциях. Это одна из самых красивых фаукарий! В наших широтах фаукарии цветут осенью, некоторые экземпляры до декабря. Фаукарии – типичные представители суккулентной флоры Капской провинции Южной Африки.
