Літературна організація «Молодняк» була заснована 1926 р. До неї належали письменники Харкова (П. Усенко, Л. Первомайський, І. Момот, В. Кузьмич, О. Кундзіч, Я. Гримайло, Д. Гордієнко та інші); Києва (Б. Коваленко, О. Корнійчук, М. Шеремет, А. Шиян); були філії в Дніпропетровську, Запоріжжі, Миколаєві, Кременчуці та інших містах; видавався однойменний журнал.
