English: The Litmus paper is treated with chemical solutions that are sensitive to pH changes. Based on the pH of the water, different segments of the paper change color and the analyst determines the pH by comparing the colors of the test paper with the colors on the packaging. If the pH is under 7 it means that the water is acidic, 7 means it is neutral, and above 7 indicates an alkaline water. In this case we can see that the water has a pH somewhere between 5 and 6.
Македонски: Лакмусовата хартија се третира со хемиски раствори што се сензитивни на промена на рН. Врз база на рН на водата, различните сегменти на хартијата ја менуваат својата боја и аналитичарот го одредува рН споредувајќи ги боите од тестираната хартија со боите на пакувањето. Мали вредности на рН под 7 значи дека водата е слабо кисела, 7 дека е неутрална, а над 7 дека е алкална. Во овој случај се гледа дека водата има рН некаде помеѓу 5 и 6. |
