Description
Русский: Опоки: Великоустюгский район, Вологодская область

Опо́ки - это геологическое обнажение в Вологодской области, одноимённый порог и бывшая деревня. Опоки находятся в 70 км от Великого Устюга по дороге в Тотьму на правом берегу Сухоны. 29января 1963 года объявлены памятником природы. Площадь 12 га.

В обрыве высотой около 60 метров и крутизной до 70градусов переслаиваются мергели и глины различного цвета. Ручьи и речушки, впадающие в Сухону, протачивают массив этих слоисто-полосатых скал, размыкая собственные берега в разные стороны. Прямо напротив деревни скальная береговая стена «прогрызена» каньоном Святого ручья — у этого ручья есть даже свой водопад.
