English: This picture of the breathtaking night sky, reminds us just how beautiful the Milky Way galaxy really is. The image mostly contains stars which by using stargazing apps I was able to identify.
The brightest star that appears in the picture is Vega, which is located 25 light-years away from Earth. It is 2.1 times more massive than the Sun and 2.5 times bigger in size. Another star that is easily identifiable is Arcturus, located 36.7 light-years away from us. The red giant is 25 times bigger than the Sun, although they have similar mass. Fun fact: 15 billion Earths can fit inside Arcturus. Aside from the stars we can identify a planet we all have heard of, and we all know it is the most beautiful planet in our Solar System. Of course it is Saturn. The gas giant is 1.3 light hours away from Earth and it is the second biggest planet in the Solar System. But the most interesting part about this picture is that in the middle we can see millions and millions of stars which means that we are looking at the center of our galaxy. The Milky Way contains over 100 billion stars, most of which have at least one or more planet orbiting it. Us, including all these 100 billion stars all orbit a supermassive black hole located in the center of the Milky Way. It is called Sagittarius A* and it was discovered in 1974.Македонски: Оваа слика што те остава без здив, не потсетува колку е убава галаксијата - Млечниот Пат. Сликата е содражана повеќе од ѕвезди кои преку други апликации за астрономија, сум можел да ги идентификувам.
Најсветлата ѕвезда што се гледа на сликата е Vega, која се наоѓа 25 светлосни-години далеку од Земјата. Vega e помасовна од Сонцето 2.1 пати и 2.5 пати поголема. Друга ѕвезда што лесно може да се идентификува е Arcturus, која се наоѓа 36.7 светлосни-години далеку од нас. Црвениот гигант е 25 пати поголема од Сонцето, иако имаат слична маса. Интересен факт е тоа што е толку голема што може да собере 15 милјарди планети Земји. Освен ѕвездите, може да се идентификува една планета која е позната за нас, и сите ја знаеме како најубавата планета на Сончевиот Систем. Нормално тоа е планетата Saturn. “Гасовниот Гигант” е далеку од Земја 1.3 светлосни-часа и е вториот планета по големината во Сончевниот Систем. Но, најинтерсното нешто во ова слика е тоа што во средината на сликата може да се гледат милиони и милиони ѕвезди што значи дека гледаме кон центарот на нашата галаксија. Млечниот Пат содржи повеќе од 100 милјарди ѕвезди, а голем број од нив имаат најмалку една или повеќе планети кои ротираат во орбитата. Ние, заедно со овие 100 милјарди ѕвезди, орбитираме една супермасивна црна дупка која се наоѓа на центарот на Млечниот Пат. Се вика Sagittarius A* и беше откриена во 1974. |
