English: Electricity around us: Which objects conduct electric current, and which do not? People have already proved that glass, wood, rubber, plastic do not conduct electric current. And soil, graphite, metals, the human body, water conduct an electric current. To check whether wood, rubber, or plastic really do not conduct electric current, we take turns holding these objects to the Tesla ball. And it is true that nothing happens when these objects come into contact with the ball. To test whether graphite, the human body, and metals actually conduct an electric current, we take turns holding these objects to the Tesla ball. Now we hear a soft click and see that the place of contact shone red, and there was a small very bright lightning that follows the finger, a metal object, and the tip of a simple pencil, if they are held on the ball. |
