Русский: Колонну немецких военнопленных проводят по улицам Киева. На всем протяжении пути колонны за ней наблюдают жители города и свободные от службы военнослужащие.

Из доклада Н. Хрущева И. Сталину: «16 августа с.г. через гор. Киев было проведено конвоирование группы немецких военнопленных в количестве 36 918 человек, в том числе 549 офицеров. Из этого количества пленных было: захвачено войсками 1-го и 2-го Украинских фронтов 21 249 человек; войсками 1-го и 2-го Белорусских фронтов 7927 чел.; войсками 1-го Прибалтийского фронта 2700 чел., а остальные 5042 чел. направлялись из лагерей НКВД. Колонны военнопленных проходили по улицам гор. Киева в течение пяти часов — с 10 часов утра до 15 часов дня. Общая длина маршрута по городу от места сосредоточения до места погрузки в эшелоны составляла 21 километр.

При движении военнопленных все улицы, окна и балконы зданий были заполнены местными жителями. Во время появления на улицах колонн военнопленных, по маршруту их движения, собралось свыше 150 тысяч жителей города. <….>Жители города, потерпевшие много бед от фашистских захватчиков, сопровождали военнопленных возгласами ненависти и проклятий по адресу немцев.»
