Description
Українська: Міль (Synaphe punctalis Fabricius, 1775) з роду Synaphe Hübner, 1825 родини Вогнівкові (Pyralidae Latreille, 1809).

Молі досить різноманітні за мітками та забарвленням. Передні крила мають різні відтінки коричневого в якості основного кольору, причому самки зазвичай мають дещо світліший колір, ніж самці. Розмах крил 22-27 мм. Одне покоління літає з червня по вереень. Гусінь живляться мохами. Має колір від світло- до темно-коричневого або навіть чорно-коричневого. Грудна клітка чорнувата; сегментні зрізи темніші. Голова і шия червонувато-коричневі. Пінакула трохи темніше базового кольору . Доросла гусениця має довжину 28 міліметрів.

Поширена по всій Європі.
English: The moth (Synaphe punctalis Fabricius, 1775) from the genus Synaphe Hübner, 1825 family Pyralid moths (Pyralidae Latreille, 1809).

Moths are quite diverse in markings and coloration. The forewings are various shades of brown as the primary color, with females usually being slightly lighter in color than males. The wingspan is 22–27 mm. The moth flies in one generation from June to August and are attracted to light. The caterpillars feed on mosses. It has a color from light to dark brown or even black-brown. Chest blackish; segmental sections are darker. The head and neck are reddish-brown. The pinnacle is a little darker than the base color. An adult caterpillar is 28 millimeters long.

Widespread throughout Europe.
