Перше відкриття міської портретної "Алеї героїв бойової та трудової слави" відбулося 9 травня 1985 року. У 2000 році була реконструйована і відкрита перша частина Алеї Слави, присвячена героям Другої світової війни. У тому ж 2000 році була реконструйована і відкрита друга частина комплексу, присвячена вшануванню пам'яті земляків, які загинули під час воєнних дій в Афганістані та під час виконання службового обов'язку в мирний час. 15 лютого 2014 року до комплексу додано комплекс Бойова машина піхоти. 26 червня 2015 року на Алеї слави відкрито стелу загиблому воїну АТО Стрільцю Дмитру. 17 жовтня 2015 року відкрито стелу загиблому воїну АТО Ісаєнку Олександру.
