Русский: Это изображение было использовано для иллюстрирования статьи «Петербургский военный округ» опубликованной в восемнадцатом томе «Военной энциклопедии», который был издан книгоиздательским товариществом И. Д. Сытина в 1915 году в столице Российской империи городе Санкт-Петербурге. Более подробное описание к этому рисунку можно прочесть в указанной выше статье на сайте Русской Викитеки.
English: The Petersburg Military District (Питербургский вое́нный о́круг) was a Military District of the Russian Empire originally created in August 1864 following Order B-228 of Dmitry Milyutin, the Minister of War of the Russian Empire. The order, signed on 10 (22) August established that "for local control of the Ground Armed Forces and military establishments, are formed ... Military-regional administrations in the following ten military districts" of which one was Petersburg. The District’s forces gained combat experience in the Russo-Turkish (1877–1878) and Russo-Japanese (1904–05) wars. Finland Military District was merged into the Petersburg District in 1905.

العربية: منطقة بطرسبرغ العسكرية (Питербургский военный округ) تم إنشاؤه أصلا في أغسطس 1864 بعد طلب ب 228 من ديمتري ميليوتين، وزير حرب الإمبراطورية الروسية. الام، الذي وقع في 10 (22) آب / أغسطس على أن "من أجل السيطرة المحلية على أرض الواقع للقوات المسلحة والمؤسسات العسكرية، يتم تشكيلها... الإدارات العسكرية الإقليمية في المناطق العسكرية العشر التالية" التي كانت واحدة منها بطرسبرغ. اكتسب المنطقة خبرة قتالية في الحرب الروسية العثمانة (1877-1878) والحرب الروسية اليابانية (1904-05).
Eesti: Peterburi sõjaväeringkond (vene keeles Петербургский военный округ) oli 1864. aastal moodustatud Venemaa Keisririigi territoriaalkaitsepiirkond. Peterburi SR-i liideti 1870. aastal enamik Riia sõjaväeringkonnast, 1905. aastast kogu Soome sõjaväeringkond. Sõjaväeringkond piirnes edelas Vilno sõjaväeringkonna ja kagus Moskva sõjaväeringkonnaga.
