Русский: Ипоме́я (лат. Ipomoea) — род цветковых растений, насчитывающий 306 видов, является самым большим родом семейства Вьюнковые (Convolvulaceae). Род встречается всюду по тропическим и субтропическим областям мира, и включает однолетние и многолетние травяные растения, лианы, кусты и маленькие деревья; большинство разновидностей — вьющиеся растения. Много разновидностей известны как Утреннее сияние.
Род включает важные пищевые культуры: батат (Ipomoea batatas) и водный шпинат (Ipomoea aquatica). Разновидности и культурные сорта рода Ипомея, выращиваемые под названием «утреннее сияние», популярны в садах благодаря их прекрасным цветам. Виды рода Ипомея используются как кормовые растения личинками некоторых видов ЧешуекрылыхEnglish: Morning Glory (lat. Ipomoea) - genus of flowering plants, numbering 306 species, is the largest genus of the family convolvulaceae (Convolvulaceae). The genus is found throughout the tropical and subtropical areas of the world, and includes annual and perennial herbal plants, vines, shrubs and small trees; most species - creepers. Many species are known as morning glory. The genus includes important food crops: sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas) and water spinach (Ipomoea aquatica). Varieties and cultivars of the genus Ipomoea grown under the name of "morning glory", popular in gardens thanks to their wonderful colors.
