Description
Русский: А острог — вот он. По улице Мира дойдём к площади Ленина, пересечём её и увидим: на высоком берегу Дона стоит серое старое здание присутственных мест и тюремного замка. Там сейчас размещаются учебные кабинеты торгово-экономического техникума… С начала XIХ века на этой торговой Сенной площади, где стояли каменная соборная церковь Казанской Иконы Божьей Матери и красивый Христорождественский храм, какое-то время сохранялись следы старых крепостных укреплений. Присутственные места, о которых есть строчка у Замятина, располагались как раз между этих церквей. И хотя к началу ХХ века от последних крепостных рвов ничего уже не осталось, центр города с двухэтажным зданием присутственных мест и тюрьмой все еще называли острогом.
