Description
English: Krounka river below Zhoř (part of the village Skuteč), Nature Park The valley of Krounka and Novohradka.
Čeština: Zhoř, řeka Krounka, azimut 250°. Řeka Krounka pod Zhoří (část obce Skuteč), Přírodní park Údolí Krounky a Novohradky. Řeka vytváří v kamenitém korytu mnoho malých vodopádů. Podél řeky prochází turistická značená trasa Klubu českých turistů. Krounka má poměrně rozsáhlé prameniště v polesí Stará Obora a na vlhkých loukách severozápadně nad Svratouchem pod vrcholem U oběšeného (737,4 m n.m.), nejvyšším vrcholem Kameničské vrchoviny (geomorfologický okrsek Sečské vrchoviny Železných hor). Vrchol U oběšeného nebo také ve Svratouchu pomístně jmenovaný Na panenkách je podle Zeměpisného lexikonu České republiky - Hory a nížiny, vydaného v roce 2006 Agenturou ochrany přírody a krajiny v Brně, nejvyšším vrcholem Železných hor. Vrcholem prochází evropské hlavní rozvodí Labe - Dunaj (řek náležejících k úmoří Severního moře - Labe a Černého moře - Dunaj). Řeka Krounka stéká po severním úbočí vrcholu směrem ke Krouně, protéká jí a pokračuje územím Skutečské pahorkatiny až pod Zhoř do lokality Zadního Borku na katastrálním území Skutče. Zde vtéká na území Štěpánovské stupňoviny a víceméně po jejím území pokračuje až k soutoku s Novohradkou v Dolech na katastru obce Luže.
