| Description |
DÜWAG GT6 tram nr 4040 was acquired from MoBiel in Bielefeld, ex-829, in 1990, the first of 8 such units. It was running here on 43 bis route. Behind is one of the polish N type Konstal units, 5N tram no 4089 on Route 43. Photographed at the Pl. Wolności terminus. The right hand crest depicts the boat or canta of Łódź, the left hand one perhaps the donating city. The vehicle was built in 1957, and its life in Łódź was short, being scrapped in 1994. Some of the class remain on the isolated route of Tramwaje Podmiejskie sp. z o.o. operating the 43 and 43 Bis to Lutomiersk. |
