Description
Deutsch: Wertseite (Revers) der österreichischen 8 Gulden Münze (Nachprägung). Die Wertangabe erfolgt in Florin (lateinisch/französisch/englisch für Gulden) und in Franken/Francs (Lateinische Münzunion). Die Münze hat einen Durchmesser von 21,00 mm, die Legierung besteht aus 900er Gold mit einem Feingewicht von 5,81 g (Gesamtgewicht 6,45 g). Auf der Bildseite (Avers) befindet sich nach einen Entwurf von Josef Hermann Tautenhayn (1837–1911) der Kopf des Kaiser Franz Josephs in Profildarstellung und auf der Wertseite (Revers) der Doppeladler nach einem Entwurf von Franz Gaul (1802–1874). Der österreichische Gulden wurde 1858 aufgrund des Wiener Münzvertrages statt des Talers eingeführt, der im Gegensatz zum Gulden nicht im Dezimalsystem gerechnet wurde. Die Gulden-Münze wurde bis 1892 geprägt und im Zuge einer Währungsreform durch die Krone-Währung ersetzt.
