Deutsch: Önundarfjörður. Die Walfangstation in Sólbakki bei Önundarfjörður wurde 1889 erbaut und war eine der größten Walfangstationen, die von den norwegischen Walfängern in den Westfjorden gebaut wurden. Im Jahr 1901 fing die Station Feuer, als sie sich durch eine Lampe entzündete.
Die Walfangstation in Sólbakki wurde im 20. Jahrhundert für den Straßenbau weitgehend zerstört. Von der Walfangstation sind nur noch Ziegel und Dampfkessel übrig. |
