Ma chère Grand-Mère
J’ai été très contente en recevant ta carte et le gros billet que tu avais joint. Je te remercie beaucoup d’avoir pensé à moi pour mon anniversaire bien que j’étai loin de toi. J’ai donné le billet à Maman qui m’achètera ce dont j’aurais besoin. Nous nous sommes bien amusés à la fêtye du pays mais nous préférons aller à la plage car on peut jouer dans l’eau et on fait des beaux châteaux sur le sable. Tu as vu mes petits camarades de plage sur la photo que papa a faite
Je t’embrasse bien fort ainsi que Loulou et te remercie encore.

I was very happy to receive your card and the big ticket you included. Thank you very much for thinking of me on my birthday even though I was away from you. I gave the ticket to Mom, who will buy me what I need. We had a great time at the country party but we prefer to go to the beach because we can play in the water and we make beautiful castles on the sand. You saw my little beach friends in the pic daddy took.
