Hatchepsout est une reine de l'Égypte antique qui deviendra pharaon, cinquième souveraine de la XVIIIe dynastie. Elle est la fille du pharaon Thoutmôsis Ier et de la Grande épouse royale Ahmès. Son époux est Thoutmôsis II, fils de Thoutmôsis Ier et d'une épouse secondaire, Moutnofret Ire. Le couple a une fille, Néférourê. Hatchepsout monte sur le trône vers -1478. Elle règne conjointement avec Thoutmôsis III, le fils de son époux et d'une épouse secondaire de celui-ci, Iset. Selon l'égyptologue James Henry Breasted, elle est connue pour être la « première grande femme dont l'histoire ait gardé le nom ». |
