Description
Deutsch: Église Saint-Restitut de Saint-Restitut Info. ST-RESTITUT, DER BLINDGEBORENE Nach einer lokalen Sage geht der Name der Kirche auf Sidonius zurück, jenen Blinden, den Jesus sehend machte und der nach seiner Heilung den Namen Restitutus annahm, der Wiederhergestellte bzw. der, der seine Sehkraft erlangt hat. Er kam daraufhin ins Tricastin und wurde von Anhängern Christus zu ihrem Pastor ernannt. Nachdem er in Italien gestorben war, wurden seine Gebeine in das Dorf gebracht, das noch heute seinen Namen trägt. Bei der Kirche ist eine wundersame Quelle, die bis ins 18. Jh. hinein scharenweise Pilger und Heilung suchende anzog.
