Description : Le bâtiment sis au 194-196, rue Jacques-Cartier-Nord aurait été construit vers 1877 pour servir de bureau au notaire Félix-Gabriel Marchand. La famille des notaires Deland acquiert l'immeuble en 1897, et il conserve sa vocation d'étude de notaire. L'édifice s'inscrit dans le courant architectural appelé rationalisme. Ce courant propose des bâtiments à la volumétrie simple - volume carré et toit plat - qui servent fréquemment d'édifices commerciaux. L'immeuble se compose d'un corps de bâtiment de plan rectangulaire à deux étages et d'une toiture plate. La façade se divise en trois travées étroites : les travées latérales servent d'entrée alors que la travée centrale est percée de fenêtres.
