Summary
[edit]Description'Steel' Houses, Tuckswood Estate - geograph.org.uk - 671230.jpg |
English: 'Steel' Houses, Tuckswood Estate As well as conventional brick built three bedroomed semi-detached and terraced houses, plus two bedroom flats and one bedroom flats for the elderly, Tuckswood estate has quite a few 'steel houses'. These are 'prefabs' built as a second storey on a brick built ground floor. Like the single storey prefabs, they were not expected to last long, but here they still are, sixty years later! |
