English: An F/A-18D Hornet takes flight off the runway at Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay, Jan 29, 2014. The hornet belongs to Marine All Weather Fighter Attack Squadron 224, which is stationed at MCAS Beaufort. The unit is currently on a six-month deployment through the Western Pacific and stopped in Hawaii for three weeks to participate in exercise Lava Viper at Pohakuloa Training Area.
