Description
English: 'Basilica', Much Park Street This work by Paul De Monchaux stands outside the crown courts in Much Park Street. It was installed in 1991, is of Purbeck stone (fossiled spangled) and weighs in at 18 tonnes. A basilica was a hall used in Roman times for judicial and commercial purposes, the word deriving from the Greek for a royal or king's house.

Alternatively, its a judge's wig.
