Description
English:
Information board about Lake Bánki. According to the 18th century historian Matthias Bel, the locals called it the Sea Eye because they believed that it was connected to the sea underground. According to locals, it does not ripple even in a raging storm, does not dry during a constant drought, and its water level does not change during thunderstorms. - Tóparti Promenade, Bánk, Nógrád County, Hungary.

Bánki-tó tájékoztató tábla. A tábla szövege: ~~'Tengerszem' a Cserhát és a Börzsöny lábánál. Bél Mátyás szerint a helyiek Tenger-szemnek nevezték mert hitték, hogy föld alatt összeköttetésben áll a tengerrel. Az akkoriban ismeretlen mélységű, kerek, ötven ölnyi partszakaszú tó, a helyiek szerint még tomboló viharban sem hullámzik, állandó vízszintű aszály idején nem szárad, zivatar idején sem változik a vízszintje. - A tó a 2001-2002-es iszap- mederkotrással alkalmas lett fűrdésre, horgászatra - Nógrád vármegye, Bánk, Tóparti sétány.
