Color print advertisment for "Yarmor" F Pine Oil, a frother manufactured by Hercules Powder Company. The advertisement shows an illustration of bubbles emanating from the Hercules logo. Inside the bubbles are qualities of "Yarmor" F Pine Oil: good froth volume, satisfactory texture and excellent cell life. The accompanying text describes the use of "Yarmor" F Pine oil as a frother for the flotation of sulphide materials. This advertisement appeared in Engineering & Mining Journal and Mining Engineering. Formed in 1912 as part of an anti-trust settlement with DuPont, the Hercules Powder Company (later Hercules Inc.) initially specialized in the manufacture of explosives and smokeless powders and subsequently diversified its business to encompass a variety of industrial products, including pine and paper chemicals, synthetics, pigments, polymers, and cellulose.
