A Serbian billboard in Republic of Srpska thanking UN member states who refused to recognise Srebrenica genocide as genocide.

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: On 23 May 2024, the UN General Assembly designated 11 July as the “International Day of Reflection and Commemoration of the 1995 Genocide in Srebrenica”. Politicians in Serbia and Republic of Srpska unhappy with the decision displayed billboards around Serbia and Srpska displaying cyrilic inscription "We are not genocidal people" and saying thank you to those states which either voted against or abstained. Their votes they counted together in order to send a message that there are more countries on the globe who do not recognise events in Srebrenica as genocide, than there are those who do.
