English: "The wee dock", Portrush Looking at a lot of stones with their hexagonal appearance round this area, they are very similar to those from the Giant's Causeway and these stones in the harbour area are a typical case in point. In conversation with a local I was told that if you stuck a stick of dynamite in any of the quarries round Portrush, the explosion would render them into this characteristic shape, something I would take with a pinch of salt. |
