At the corner of the Kenyon Hotel is located the combined offices of the UnionPacific, Southern Pacific and Oregon Short Line, a point which is sure to be visited by the majority oftourists and trans-continental travelers during their stay in Salt Lake City. Across Second South Streetis the store of the Smith Drug Company, located upon a piece of property which sold fifty years agofor two yoke of cattle, a wagon and $50, but which today possesses a value into the hundreds of thou-sands. Opposite the Smith corner on Main Street stands the financial institution of Walker Brothers, bank-ers, the Pioneer Bank of the inter-mountain country, the destinies of which are still presided over by M.H.
