English: "Representative H.J. Drane, who wants another month in the year - "Center" - nickname "Middle" - this is getting to be a great world. Wonder what he wants that for? Maybe he works by the month, or probably he wants a little raise and is too modest to come right out and ask for it. But what's the idea of picking of poor little Friday to burden all of the 13s? How about leap year? What will all of the old maids do without it? He must have had a lucky night on Friday the 13th, or maybe they just need more Fridays the 13th down in Florida. - Even though it does make another month, it don't make as many days - poor day worker! O! Well, some people just have to have something to pass away the time. After all though - us service men don't mind it much - we could use another months' pay a year without being overburdened with money till our Bonus comes around. Probably that's just a new way of getting popular. The poor birds that were born on Feb 29, would be out of luck."
