Summary

[edit]
Description

FDA has always emphasized to consumers the need to “read the label” of food products. William Whorton, Helen Getty, Marion Wolfson and Lillian Meighan are shown here responding to over 30,000 consumer letters received in response to 52 episodes of “How to Read the Label” that Whorton broadcast over the NBC radio network in 1931 and 1932. Reprints of his talks ran to 5 editions.
