Description
English: "Buckets of instant sunshine", Holmpton, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
This map is showing air and ground bursts of 20kt Hydrogen weapons which was estimated by defence experts to kill or seriously injure 43 million people in the UK at the first strike hostility. RAF Holmpton is one of the targets where a direct hit would vaporise the bunker leaving a hole 100 ft deep and 1 kilometre across.
