  •  Comment I feel like it would be more appropriate to link this to some historical maps category, but my question would be, where are there any other maps in scope, or are there any? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 23:14, 25 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Info Ikan Kekek I'm a graphic worker and don't have that kind of knowledge about the map. There is a category Third Punic War on the info page and then the three ones I linked to above. In those categories there are different maps but they are spread over many years as it all changed all the time. --please ping me-- Goran tek-en (talk) 10:50, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment If that category would be the most useful to link, link it. Two suggested edits to the map key: I think "Carthaginian territory" is right, but the counterparts are "Roman territory" and "Numidian territory". -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 20:36, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Info Ikan Kekek If that is a fact then it means you can't promote images that has content from more than one category which is strange to me and very limiting. I guess that the "rules" for all three FP, QI, VI are set up to work for photos of one object, not for maps or illustrations that can contain several pieces of information.
  • In the criteria it's written "If you wish, you can make use of an existing category - or alternatively write your own scope" so then I could make up a category that covers all views of this map but that feels strange to me.
  • It's also written "Try to limit yourself to one link per scope, if possible.", so there is no ban on linking to several. --please ping me-- Goran tek-en (talk) 18:52, 27 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • It does not mean this at all: "you can't promote images that has content from more than one category." We're talking about what category to link the scope to. A scope doesn't have to (and shouldn't) link to multiple categories. The image in question should link to all relevant categories. Moreover, a single image can be a VI in more than one scope, anyway. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:16, 28 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • If you'd like to nominate this in the scope of maps of Numidia, maps of Carthage and maps of Rome, you should do separate nominations for those. I don't think it's fair to expect us to judge this against all other maps in 4 categories at the same time. Take the win by linking only the Punic War. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:21, 28 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • I didn't say you should delete the names of the three powers, only delink them to separate categories in the scope. I'll  Support, but I don't think you understand me very well and I don't think deleting the names makes the scope more useful. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:25, 30 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
