Reason Unlike the Northern Hemisphere, the numbers on vertical sundials in the Southern Hemisphere follow a clockwise pattern. I believe that this is the best image in Commons of a vertical sundial, not only in South Africa, but in the Southern Hemisphere. The cropped version of this image has been used in many articles on sundials. -- Martinvl (talk)
