  •  Comment It's a very reasonable image, and the botanical garden location ensures its correct identification. However, there are several more useful (for identification) as well as more striking images in the scope, such as Lupinus pilosus adl1.JPG, and it seems a shame to call this one most valued simply because the others lack the precision of geocoding. -- Dcrjsr (talk) 20:17, 4 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. It is perfectly possible to oppose a nomination on the grounds that another Commons image is 'more valuable', even if that image could not itself be a VI candidate (eg because it is not geocoded).
