  • @Ikan Kekek: I am not that deep in botanics that I know about varieties. I took both images almost at the same time of the year beginning of July, but in different years - maybe that makes a difference. The other difference is that the nominated image shows a flower on roughly 800m above sea level, while the other one is roughly on 1500m. Maybe the one flower is more developed/aged than the other.   • No oppose, both are good photos. But I would prefer flower (a common word) to florescence (a fancy word better suited to an image of a plant with flowers in differing stages of flowering) in the scope. Charles (talk) 11:16, 31 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
