  •  Comment It is a very difficult subject. In the category there are 3 images all three of nymphs and different. orthoptera have a hemimetabolism which makes the nymph stage very difficult to promote in VI. For this order it is better to avoid the nymphs which are polymorphic.--Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 06:24, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • I think it is valuable as it is a very distinct colour and pattern. Ww are lucky to have an expert prepared to spend time helping with identification (as you do!). Charlesjsharp (talk) 16:12, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • Your scope is good, but for the next photo in the category how are we going to do? you're going to say a little less early etc ... we can multiply the number of different scopes because the morphology will be different. How to proceed ? It takes an estimated number of days of nymph development. For me this is too difficult, we must remain a labeling of the imago for orthoptera. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 19:08, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This is absolutely true. But: it is less difficult for this family and I stopped taking photographs of nymphs because the identification is too complex. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 20:41, 25 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Question Could they be numbered like "early (1st) stage nymph"; "middle (3rd) stage nymph" and so forth? If it's subjective, though, there could be an issue. Is there an argument that there could be more (or fewer) recognizably different stages? -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 10:48, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
In theory this idea seems good but in practice it is difficult to differentiate between the stages. We need an Orthoptera specialist. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 16:40, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Understood. Surely, these kinds of images are useful, but it's difficult to be sure of the right scope for them. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:28, 29 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
