  • Hmm, the Tarasque is more a fabulous creature from Provence. In Poitou-Charentes, “Grand'Goule” is a rather similar monster (poke JLPC ;). I don't know if there is a specific legend in Béarn with a local monster name... This kind of representation of a creature swallowing a man can be found elsewhere, for example here in Sweden. --Myrabella (talk) 18:16, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
