Scope Nominated as the most valued image on Commons within the scope:
Karl I of Austria, Bust.
Used in Global usage
Reason Blessed (in 2004, by Pope John-Paul II) Emperor Karl of Austria was the last Sovereign of the Habsbourg-Lorraine dynasty. I've found only two busts of him in "Commons". This one seems to me to be distinguished, because it is the last testimony of his reign in the Imperial Capuchins crypt: as he died in exile, his body does not rest here among the other members of family. -- Jebulon (talk)

Oppose It can be said that this is a very very narrow scope. So the decision should be made: 1. If the target is the monument then place have to be added, 2. If the target is the sculpture (work of art) then artist should be added, 3. If the target is person then bust should be omitted and it should compete with the photographs. --MrPanyGoff 10:15, 18 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If I want to support, I should know what I vote for: representation of monument, representation of sculpture or representation of the person.--MrPanyGoff 12:48, 18 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You say that the scope is too narrow, but some of your suggestions are tending to make it more narrow. I propose to choose the best representation of a "bust "of this person, among other pictures of "busts" of him in "Commons", but not only this bust.--Jebulon (talk) 22:55, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The formulation at the moment aims at the person of Karl I of Austria (according to the VI categorization this is a „Section People”). Do you have intention for many scopes of Karl I in this range? Because with this formulation we open space for 4 scopes, at least, for Karl I of Austria: 1. Karl I of Austria, Bust; 2. Karl I of Austria, Photograph; 3. Karl I of Austria, Painting; 4. Karl I of Austria, Drawing; I just think that we should generalize these scopes otherwise the chaos in the VI project is going to increase. Other possibilities: 5. Karl I of Austria, Sketch; 5. Karl I of Austria, Cartoon;--MrPanyGoff 07:24, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment Your argumentation is maybe a bit offensive, but I finally tend to agree with you. You just forgot 5. Karl I of Austria, Tomb ! Do you have a suggestion to make this picture valuable in a relevant scope, or is a withdrawn a better choice ?--Jebulon (talk) 10:24, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • I think the problem here comes because the sculptor of the bust is probably unknown otherwise this image would go in the line of the „Works of Art“ section as usual. I would suggest the scope: „Karl I of Austria bust, Capuchins' Crypt“ or „Karl I of Austria monument, Imperial Crypt“ or „Karl I of Austria bust, Imperial Crypt“... Just the place of the comma, before or after the word bust/monument, defines the category of the image. So, I hope that we'll reach an agreement because this is a good informative photograph. --MrPanyGoff 11:39, 21 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thank you. I think this picture is a bit special indeed. Not high quality because of the circumstances, but interesting. The sculptor is (maybe) not unknown, as one can see a signature on the base, maybe "Mautsch", but I'm not sure. I'll try to find better informations.--Jebulon (talk) 17:05, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
